What is new in Carrots
Every release your customers or your team would notice, dated the day it went live in production. Nothing appears here before it is live.
- New
Head office accounts that manage every store in a group
Link a customer's stores to one head office account, and its head-office people see every store's orders, invoices and held orders in one place, with admins able to approve, manage users and addresses, and order for any store. Each store keeps its own invoices and credit, and uses the head office's prices, catalogue, approval rules and order limits unless it has its own.
- New
Choose where each order goes, from addresses you control
Buyers now choose one of their account's saved delivery addresses at checkout, and every order records that address and shows it on the order and in its emails. Your staff can maintain any account's addresses from the back office and lock them, so buyers choose only from the list you keep.
- New
An audit trail you can see and export
Every change and sign-in in your store is recorded with who made it, when, and from which IP address, and kept for seven years. Your admins can filter and export it from an Audit page, and each buyer's account admins can see their own account's activity.
- Improved
Order approvals that cannot be skipped
A held order now leaves approval only through a recorded decision by someone other than the person who placed it, or an override with a reason. Every step is emailed to the people involved and shown in the order's history, and cancelling an unpaid order voids its invoice.
- Improved
A sign-in page in your brand colours
Your store's sign-in page is now a two-column card in your brand colour, with your logo above the form. Signing in works exactly as before.
- Improved
Search inside a price book
Staff can narrow a price book's item prices to the products whose name or code matches what they type, and edit them in place.
- New
Sign in with your company's identity provider
People whose email domain has been verified can sign in through their company's OpenID Connect identity provider, and the sign-in page now asks for the email address first. Switched on for your store on request.
- New
Removing someone really ends their access
Removing or disabling a person signs them out everywhere at once. Your admins get a staff sign-ins page with a recorded access review, a buyer's own admin can remove their people, and accounts unused for 90 days are warned and then disabled.
