The platform

Everything the system does, in one list

93 capabilities, all of them shipping and in daily use. Evaluating distribution software usually means assembling this list yourself from six sales calls, so here it is up front. What is still being built is at the bottom, kept separate on purpose.

01

Ordering

What your customers use. The part that decides whether they move off the phone.

Finding things

  • Browse the catalogue by category, brand or item group
  • Search with filters that change to match the results
  • Every tile shows that account's own price, not a list price
  • Product hints and indicators, including lines you cannot currently supply
  • More than one catalogue, so different buyer types see different ranges
  • A guest catalogue with no pricing, for prospects

Product pages

  • Multiple images per product
  • Spec sheets, allergen statements and other documents attached to the line
  • That account's own purchase history on the product page
  • Related items and substitutions when a line is unavailable

Order guides

  • Several named guides per account, grouped how the venue is organised
  • Buyers and your team can both add and remove products
  • A guide that populates itself from what the account already buys
  • Filter a guide by item group

Cart and checkout

  • GST broken out on the cart
  • PO number and delivery instructions captured at checkout
  • Interval quantities, so a line that sells in sixes cannot be ordered in fives
  • Maximum quantity limits per line
  • Order for several venues in one pass
  • Add-on suggestions at checkout, and the ability to decline a free offer
  • Totals calculated by the server, so the cart cannot disagree with the invoice

After the order

  • Order history, with detail and a status timeline
  • One-click reorder of a previous order
  • Order confirmation to the buyer
  • A spend dashboard for the account: trend, top products, category mix

The app itself

  • Installs to a phone from the browser, with no app store step
  • A first-order checklist for a newly approved account
  • Noticeboard and sign-in alerts
  • In-app chat with your team
  • Resources and downloads
  • Service requests, with their history

02

Back office

Where your team spends the day. Built like a modern admin tool, not an ERP screen.

Accounts

  • Account directory
  • Trade application review and approval into a real account
  • Portal user invitations, with the buyer setting their own password
  • Team members and roles on the buyer side, including a restricted counter-staff role
  • Locked account fields, so a buyer cannot edit what you own

Catalogue and merchandising

  • Product, category and brand management
  • Bulk catalogue import
  • Merchandising levels, controlling what each account can see and buy
  • Trade commercial fields in the product editor
  • Promotions

Orders and fulfilment

  • Order management across every account
  • Editing an order after it is placed
  • A public holiday calendar that moves the ordering days with it

The tool itself

  • A command palette
  • A home dashboard, and back-office analytics
  • Index tables with selection and bulk actions
  • Two-column record layout with a contextual save bar
  • Responsive and accessible behaviour, tested

Settings

  • Business settings: brand, logo, ABN, trading terms
  • Notification and mail configuration
  • An integration reconciliation view
  • System reset and bulk import
  • Attachment storage in S3

03

Pricing, invoicing and payments

The part that has to be exactly right, because a customer checks it every week.

Pricing

  • Price books per account or account group
  • Trade agreements: negotiated rates with start and end dates
  • Quantity-break pricing rules
  • A three-tier pricing waterfall
  • Item groups and price levels
  • Bundle and package promotions
  • Item promotions with bonus stock
  • Promo codes

Invoices and documents

  • Invoice list, detail and PDF download
  • Invoices rendered from your own uploaded template
  • Account statements the customer can pull themselves

Getting paid

  • Pay now by card
  • Direct debit
  • Buy now, pay later
  • Account terms shown and enforced at checkout

Tax

  • Australian GST end to end, with a per-product taxable flag
  • Seller identity and ABN on the tax invoice

04

Delivery and fulfilment

The schedule your customers plan their week around, enforced rather than remembered.

Getting it there

  • Multi-carrier shipping
  • Delivery tracking passed back to the buyer
  • Several delivery addresses per account
  • Structured delivery runs you plan and manage yourself

Timing

  • Per-account delivery days, order cut-offs and order minimums
  • Standing orders
  • Stock prioritisation across duplicate lines
  • An order approval workflow for accounts that need sign-off

05

Platform

The things underneath that you only notice when they are missing.

Access and identity

  • Buyer sign-in, with role-based access control enforced on the server
  • Route guards, so a signed-out visitor is never served a logged-in page
  • Your own database per tenant, on your own hostnames

Messaging

  • Transactional email from your own domain
  • In-app notifications
  • Broadcast messaging to a segment of accounts
  • Marketing events pushed to Klaviyo

Integrations

  • SAP Business One connector
  • Shopify catalogue and image sync
  • Microsoft 365 mail and mailbox
  • Stripe for card, direct debit and buy-now-pay-later

Your own front door

  • A become-a-partner application form for your website
  • Contact and newsletter capture
  • Legal and policy pages

Not yet

What we are still building

Listed here rather than mixed into the capabilities above, because a list you cannot trust is worse than no list.

Native iOS and Android app

A Flutter app covering the full ordering flow, built test-first against the same trade rules the web portal enforces. Not released.

Order write-back to the ERP

Orders placed in Carrots pushed into your ERP, so finance does not re-key them. The sync reads from the ERP today; this is the return leg. Committed, not built.

NetSuite connector

Scoped in detail against a real customer's data model, including the pricing waterfall. Not built.

Microsoft Teams bot

So your team can answer buyer chat from where they already work. Built, and not yet proven in production.

Credit control and returns

Credit limits and holds, and a returns and credit-note flow. Partly built.

Offline ordering

Ordering that survives a dropped connection and syncs when it comes back. Not started.
