Comparison
Carrots vs EasyVend
EasyVend is the closest competitor Carrots has: Australian, supplier-side, and ahead of us on delivery routing and Xero. Here is where each one fits.
What EasyVend is
The closest thing on this market to what we do
EasyVend describes itself as a “B2B Order Management Solution For Suppliers and Distributors”, covering automated ordering, route management, payment processing and invoicing. Same side of the trade as us, same country, and a genuinely overlapping product. This is the comparison on this site where the two answers are closest together.
Orders arriving from more directions than ours
Their site lists a customer self-service ordering portal, manual admin entry, CSV imports, EDI with Norco Dairy and Brownes Dairy named as examples, driver entry through a tool called MiniVend that “runs on any device”, auto-generated recurring orders daily, weekly or fortnightly, and sales reps entering orders on the road. That is a wider set of intake channels than Carrots has, and EDI in particular is something we do not support at all.
Delivery is part of the product, not the edge of it
Route management optimises driver routes and schedules, and MiniVend gives drivers real-time order entry and changes on the round. Carrots groups orders onto named weekly runs and knows your cut-offs; it does not optimise a route and has no driver application. If you run your own fleet, they cover ground we do not.
Xero and MYOB, which is the one that usually decides it
They describe “Seamless sync with Xero and MYOB”. Carrots connects to SAP Business One and to neither of those. In Australian foodservice below enterprise this is the single most common reason a distributor should choose them over us, and we would rather you read it here than discover it in week three.
What Carrots is
The buyer's experience is what we built first
Order guides rather than a catalogue to browse, several guides per account for a customer that orders as several sites, guides seeded from what that venue has actually bought, spec and allergen sheets on the product page, substitutes offered when something is unavailable, and checkout that warns about anything which will change or stop the order before it is placed.
The pricing chain, resolved once
A base list, a customer's price book, a dated agreement, a negotiated contract line, a quantity break and a promotion all landing on the same product on the same day, resolved in one place so the cart, the invoice and the ERP agree on the number.
Your own app, under your own name
A mobile app published under your brand, which a buyer joins by scanning your code, is in development and close. Their MiniVend is a driver tool rather than a buyer one, so these are aimed at different people rather than at the same job.
Australian documents from your own template
GST handled per product, ABN validated on trade applications, and tax invoices rendered from a Word template you upload, so the document carries your layout rather than ours.
Side by side
Where the answers actually differ
No ticks and no scores. A tick means whatever the vendor filling it in wants it to mean.

Choose EasyVend if
- You run on Xero or MYOB. This is the most common reason a distributor should pick them over us, and it will stay true until we build it.
- You run your own delivery fleet and want route optimisation and a tool in the drivers' hands.
- Orders reach you by EDI. They name dairy customers using it, and we do not support EDI at all.
- You want inventory reconciliation and end-of-day stock movement in the same system as the orders.
- Your team enters most orders themselves and you want every intake channel covered rather than the buyer self-serving.
Choose Carrots if
- The thing you are trying to fix is what ordering feels like for your customer, not what it costs your office.
- Your pricing chain is the complicated part and the invoice disagreeing with the order is a real cost.
- You want a native ordering app published under your own brand for buyers rather than drivers.
- You run SAP Business One, or another ERP that should stay the system of record.
- You want tax invoices rendered from your own Word template, with GST and ABN handled properly.
How this was written
Everything above about EasyVend comes from their own public material, read in September 2026. Nothing here is drawn from a private evaluation, a third-party review site, or a customer’s spreadsheet.
Products change. If you work at EasyVend and something here is out of date or wrong, tell us and we will correct it — that is a better outcome for us than being caught out by a prospect. EasyVend is their trademark and we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with them.
Still not sure which fits?
