Carrots vs Ordermentum

Ordermentum is a network with tens of thousands of venues on it. Carrots is a channel of your own. That choice decides more than any feature does.

What Ordermentum is

The largest ordering network in Australian hospitality

Ordermentum describes itself as “The #1 ordering and payments platform for Australian suppliers”, says it “processes over $1.5B in orders annually”, and refers on its supplier pages to the “50,000 venues who want what they sell”. The scale is not a statistic about the product. It is the product.

It brings you customers. We do not.

Their supplier material leads on acquisition: “low-cost leads and acquisition”, “pre-vetted venues”, and tools to meet venues already on the platform. This is the single biggest difference between the two products, and it is entirely in their favour. Carrots does not generate demand, has no network, and will not send you a single new account.

Payments built around getting the supplier paid

They describe “24/7 automated accounts receivable, instant account reconciliation, and same-day settlements”, and their supplier stories lead on payment speed. One of them, 3 Tier Food Services, is quoted as saying “We’re getting paid the next day.”

Accounting and inventory integrations already built

Their integrations page lists Xero, MYOB, MYOB Advanced, QuickBooks, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics Business Central, Unleashed, Cin7 Omni and Cin7 Core, among others. Carrots connects to none of those today, and for an Australian distributor on Xero that is a real reason to pick them.

They publish their prices

Supplier tiers on their pricing page: $200 a month with a $399 one-off setup for 15 to 150 customers, $1,050 a month with a $2,000 setup for 151 to 700, and a custom tier above 701. We publish ours too, as of 13 September 2026. Theirs is cheaper than ours at the small end and dearer from around 151 customers, because their tiers step up with the number of accounts you hold and ours do not.

What Carrots is

A channel of your own, not a presence in someone else's

To be fair to them: Ordermentum does support supplier branding, so this is not a question of whether your logo appears. It is a question of where the ordering happens. On Carrots your buyers order on your domain, in an app published under your name, on a tenant and database that are yours. On Ordermentum they order in the Ordermentum app, alongside their other suppliers.

Your ERP stays the system of record

Carrots reads items, customers and price lists out of the ERP you already run rather than asking you to migrate. SAP Business One is live today. The books stay where your accountant expects them.

Pricing complexity is the thing we built for

A base list, a customer's price book, a negotiated contract line, a quantity break and a promotion all landing on the same product on the same day, resolved in one chain, so the price in the cart, on the invoice and in the ERP is the same number. Plus multiple order guides per account, because one customer often orders as several sites.

Australian tax and payments, handled directly

GST with per-product treatment, ABN validated on trade applications, compliant tax invoices rendered from your own template, and the payment methods Australian venues use: card, PayTo and BECS direct debit, Afterpay and Zip.

Your bill does not scale with your account count

Our tiers differ by capability, not by size: no account cap, no order cap, no seat count. Ordermentum's published supplier tiers step up with the number of customers you have. Which of those is better depends entirely on your shape, and if you are small it may well be theirs.

Side by side

Where the answers actually differ

No ticks and no scores. A tick means whatever the vendor filling it in wants it to mean.

Choose Ordermentum if

  • You want new customers as well as better software. They have the network and the tools to reach it, and we have neither.
  • You run on Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, NetSuite, Unleashed or Cin7 and need the accounting link working from day one.
  • Your buyers already order from other suppliers in Ordermentum. Being one more supplier in an app they open daily is genuinely easier for them than installing yours.
  • You need a published native app now rather than soon.

Choose Carrots if

  • You want the ordering channel and the customer relationship to be yours, on your domain and under your name, rather than a branded presence inside a network.
  • Your pricing is the complicated part: price books, contract lines, quantity breaks and promotions colliding on the same product.
  • You run SAP Business One, or another ERP you intend to keep as the system of record.
  • You have a lot of accounts and would rather your software bill did not scale with the count.
  • You want ordering, back office, pricing, payments, delivery and customer messaging as one platform rather than a network plus your own systems.

How this was written

Everything above about Ordermentum comes from their own public material, read in September 2026. Nothing here is drawn from a private evaluation, a third-party review site, or a customer’s spreadsheet.

Products change. If you work at Ordermentum and something here is out of date or wrong, tell us and we will correct it — that is a better outcome for us than being caught out by a prospect. Ordermentum is their trademark and we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with them.

Still not sure which fits?

Tell us what you distribute, what you run on, and what your reps do all day. If the answer is Ordermentum, we will say so.
